English Forever

The paper was crisp
Fresh from the print
The coffee was hot
To class I went

I spoke my name
When roll was called
But no one heard
No one at all

I cried at my desk
But to no satisfaction
I would do anything
To get their reaction

With nothing to do
I looked in my paper
Front page it read
Dead English major

So here I sit
For all of time
Forever writing
Line after line

You are an excellent writer, with wit, education and skill in words. You must go deeper if you want to be immortal. Inside of you,, how do you feel?
