Enduring Dreams

Some days our dreams
outweigh our means,
don’t let it get you down.
Awake at dawn, just soldier on,
straightening your crown.
Those ambitious goals
of days gone by
are faded as can be…
The time you invested
is soon to be tested,
you’ll have to wait and see.
So lend me your ear -
lean closer in…
spot wisdom when you hear it.
Fill your cup, drink it in
and savor it - then,
it will surely lift your spirit.
Though often hidden in a maze
you’ll find your path somehow.
Let’s drink a toast to yesterday -
…then drink a toast to now!
Those long held dreams
give off a light that some
would like to borrow.
So look ahead (if you dare)
there is laughter to share,
the day after tomorrow…

Darlene, I beleive that dreams have ties to reality though it is sometimes hard to discover the exact connection...
