Endless-Battle

Deep in the carnage of my thoughts,
There lies a burning flame
This life that holds but one regret,
And I'm the one to blame.
A blessing forever awaited,
Embraced it as it came
A firm position in my stance,
My one and only fame
I knew my joy was yet to come,
The one who'd make me sane
The secret cure to all my woes,
I'd never be the same
Day by day the beatings drew,
Battle throughout the pain
One last strike was all it took,
The opposition gained
Emotions recalled and faltered,
Destiny forever changed
Every breath was meant for you,
Nameless, on my heart in vain
Gone without a fighting chance,
A soul so perfect, slain
A bloodless battle recklessly played,
My deadened soul remains
