End of Us

End of Us

I tried not to look

but did

and saw the grimace on your face

the weight of your bags hanging from your shoulder too much

the angry rain

Pounded

against the walls and windows

as inside my mind

I screamed out at you to

STOP

this , the end of our love story

our love that had started so sweetly

and sensually

and

with such friendship

and

breathless passion

with the vision of

announcements

clinking glasses

a house

births

and celebrations

then

Without

warning

a tornado

ferocious

unforgiving

picked us up and

threw us

into flying debris

vomiting us up

at a slammed door

in

hell
