Empty Wind
The rivers wide
For all those that cried
This winding trail goes nowhere
For those that don't care
Looking down
I see a town
Looking around
No one walks that ground
Fear to try
Fear to cry
Sometimes leaves an empty heart
Makes one seem so apart
Stars at night
What a sight
Lonely as I
One may cry
Others ask why
Sail on empty wind
Go where it may send
Who can say
Which is the right way
Sometime past some tommorow
With the world living in sorrow
Trying to reach
For what they preach
Lost in the word
Of what they once heard
Reaching for yesterday
When they could still play
What did they say
To make you this way
Can no one know
How the lonely can grow
Find the soul
Does it have no goal
Did you leave it all behind
When you did find
Life is hard you can sometimes get Jared
That's the way it always goes
And yes it shows
The pain in your eyes
So many lies
Time flies
Yesterday was bad
Left you sad
Afraid to try
You must ask why
Rewind
What's left behind
You must find
Take it back
Jack
