Empty Vessel

The empty vessel it floats in space,
it's destination unclear at this time and place.
Only filling when consumed with hate,
where once was happiness is an empty plate.
But life is still there, of that I am sure,
if only someone would open the door.

This makes me ponder the explanation of hate. It requires an other that must become the other as antithesis of love, that space then made empty by hate's action left us in wall of no one but I. Deep!
