Empty Room

No air of my own to breathe.
Stuffed like a Christmas turkey,
I find an escape beneath,
Beneath the floors of the murky room.

I fall to the floor
No one is around
My body they do ignore

I open my eyes,
Not a soul in sight.
Was it a dream in the night?

It was just a dream
This is just an empty room
My tears start a stream

When I am left alone,
I am left to think.
No one to hear my groan,
They wouldn't even blink.

Very somber piece. I feel the suffication of loneliness here. Please read my poem "Bits of Broken Glass".
