Empty Hands

EMPTY HANDS
I asked God how much He loved me
And He stripped my hands
Of everything that I held dear
I just don’t understand
How does taking all away
Show me just how dear
I am supposed to be to Him
When I need Him near
He says He had to empty my hands
So I could stretch them high
Then He stretched out His arms
And put His hands in mine
