Have you ever been so lonely
You could hear heartbeats in your ears
Your heart though it beats
It is empty from the pain
Have you ever been so sad
Your soul just wants to to sleep
The kind where it is so numb it longs for eternal rest
Have you ever been so lost
You couldn't see the golden light
The light that God offers you if in your heart you truly believe
This is me at this moment
I am lonely, sad and lost
I need a friend to come and sit with me
Talk for a long while
Tell me that I'm worth the time
That they gave up and sacrificed
Give me hope
Give me fight
Just a reason to not give up
