Empty

When you're suddenly left-
Holding nothing,
But your breath.

Took a wrong turning somewhere
And now we're here again-
Nothing left.

I've been working all this time-
Not to move up but just move on,
And i'm still dreaming of that fast car for my ticket to outta here.
But we're running on empty,
All our chances near gone.

So what's to do mama?
Where to turn?
Who to run to for help?
Can't throw out nothin and wait for return.

So,where to go to mama?
No home left to rest,
No place to go to call our own
And you say eviction was for the best.

Near empty,mama,
This car's slowed down.
Been round the block too many times now,
Been round the block too many times now....
