Empty

I’m shadowed by what’s empty
To look will calm my rage
This seat in sun will circle
I haven’t felt for days

Medicate my answers
Tell me all is good
This cure is my infection
My mind is cleansed in blood

I’m searching for some treasure
It evades me if I try
Sometimes I don’t think it’s out there
But if I stop I know I’ll die

I’ve learnt to walk on water
My mind has turned to stone
I balance on my reflection
But there’s nothing left below

My mind is now so tired
My heart forever gone
My soul just burns in fire
But at least I belong
