Empty
I am so empty right now
That I have nothing to offer.
I am so alone right now
That in my company;
even loneliness would suffer.
There was a time
I was so full of life
That being with me was a promise
To forget your strife.
Sitting at the other end of the spectrum, I see
The silence I sought all my life
Is itching to now scream.
I am bull-headed; stubborn
I won't let my tormentors out of sight
But I am so miserably broken
That I don't have it in me to fight.
