Empty

Darkness seeps in, as the light fades away Forcing myself to face another day Faking a smile, to replace the tears I scream out for you, but no one hears A stranger in the mirror, stares back at me I wish things were like, they used to be Pretending used to be, a childish game How I wish, life was still the same Erasing the memories, forgetting the pain Trying just to keep, my lonely heart sane The dreams of forever, where washed away How I wish, I could go back to yesterday But time still ticks, marching on As I replay all of the things, that went so wrong I've nothing left to give, I'm empty inside The promises you made, were all just lies
