Empires Dream

Dream, dreams of empire
in realms vision scapes
an infinite fire…

Standing, casting away all thoughts
onto the shores of a world afar

As the Red Sea’s meet
in between the emerald seams
of a violent life, on a lazy horizon

A distant future’s weight building
in the inner walls of my sleep
as conversations conspire

They fade in a week and are mired
lost on distant roads
forgotten byways of lore

Remembering the funeral of Pyres
Dreaming dreams of empire
along the rusted highways

Come and see my dreams of empire.
as I dream a dream, wishing your desire
in the land of bright lights, big cities expire
ancient buildings stretching wide into the sky

Reaching far away into the seams of oblivion
feeling the walls of sleep,
closing around my deepest thoughts

All is flickering, all reflect
all influx of imagery
in the inner minds domain

As I see in days pass, into night
I dream dreams of empire
my desire, a mound of ash and soot

The harsh reality lived underfoot
dreaming dreams of Kingdom
consciousness in flight
to the ends of divine

Down the roads of infinity
as the prayers grow higher

My demise is right on time
all is in line in the halls of my mind
my eyes drift
as I sit n dream

dreams of empire
