Emergence of an Egress

None of the practical rules apply 
To an impractical person
Like a figure of our imagination 
Nothing can be certain
And whatever form they take
You can't be sure of their version
I'm trying to reconcile
What can and what should be
And as I navigate insecure waters
I still hope for bounty
