Embrace the Line
It’s my sanity fight
That rages day and night.
Darkness descends on me.
Gray hardness suspends me,
Then chokes me on its spree.
My mind and emotions
Fatigue from erosions
That my own existence
Cannot now outdistance.
Crazy takes energy
Worth a sad elegy.
I flirt with the fine line,
For escape seems divine,
Nudging my step closer
To do it, cross over.
I stray towards insane,
But still hear my apt brain
Stressing simply and plain,
Do not pine for that line!
I embrace its design
So my heart may define,
Refuse and so decline
This real life exit line.
