Embers of Time

There was once a time
When I lived my life as would a mime
Laughing like mad
Lightening the days of the sad

I would even feel the joy
Of being taken for a toy
Played with and even thrown away
My life revolved only around my own play

At such a time, my heart was still young
For a knight I did make up a song
For that knight I did fight off the world
I survived as the one who chose not to follow the whole herd!

Those time are still etched in my mind
I wish to go back to those days I left behind
Those, those were the real days, shall I say to my friend
Now, I choose to live as the one set out to explore a new found land!
