Elusive Love

Love is something we search for
from the day we become alive,
yet no-one can really describe it
and we never see it arrive.

religious people tell you of God
romantics will talk about love,
they both bring people together
one on earth and one from above.

We are always looking for love
but its never been seen at all,
love is a kind of pleasure trap
into which we willingly fall.

Your feelings become elated
your common sense starts to dim,
they say a man chases a girl
but she always catches him.
