Elsewhere

there is a place between hurry and procrastination
there is a place between relief and frustration
there is a place between somber and silly
there is a place between jam and jelly

elsewhere, elsewhere
it never appears but is elsewhere
every place has come from elsewhere
everybody has come from elsewhere
but no one can ever get there
for when you arrive to it you came from elsewhere

elsewhere, elsewhere, is it better in elsewhere
is it the place where dreams first begin
where cabbages sprout babies and rainbows end
where the unicorns are hiding by blending in
a place i live but have never been
elsewhere, elsewhere is it better in elsewhere

there is a place between young and old
there is a place between shy and bold
there is a place between real and fake
there is a place between love and hate

close your eyes let the wind kiss your face
take you back to your favorite place
in the realm of happy things
in the softness of happy dreams
always balanced always here
always remembering elsewhere
