Elope

I didn't know where inspiration went nor why it absconded! My desire to write eloped with my imaginative drive. A choking crowd, ideas stayed locked in my small head and I didn't know how to ease them out.

Great piece. Things sometimes turn out that way. It's just a matter of time, inspiration comes back better.

Jide, What a clever poem! "My desire to write eloped with my imaginative drive" is something to which all poets can relate. You have a gift to share! I'm looking forward to reading more of your work, Carolyn

Ouch...been there, Jide, it happens to me when other things try to jump into the forefront. Would be fun to knock the others to the side, but your "desires" and "ideas" will come back into focus...for they are never far off. Another well delivered piece! Best to you..Mikki
