Eligarf

I'm walking on thin Ice Searching the universe for a new vice. One wrong step could mean never again waking, One step... cracking, another step... breaking. I watch as another piece of the path floats away, But from this path, I mustn't stray. I finally see the frozen water's edge, I finally reach it, now looking down from a ledge. The path ends here, what am I supposed to do? Is this it, the end, am I finally through? Then I see a glimmer of light across the pit, Some light from a fire that has just been lit. Across from him and me Another person sitting in a twisted tree. Then I see another and I finally recognize, My thoughts begin to stabilize. We each walked different paths to reach this place, And confusion was clear on each one's face. Just then the ground gives way The ice is breaking, fire rising, and the trees sway. Water, Earth, Air, and Fire Each one with a different desire. Now lost within the labyrinth's walls Everything eventually falls. Screaming at the skies... What did each of us have to sacrifice? Frozen, Quaking, Tempest, Eruption Each one brings its own destruction. What is it that I am here to learn? Life, Live, Breathe, Burn! Now I finally see They are each a piece of me. I'm trapped inside my own mind The door is locked, the key I must find. The Mind is... Gentle... Hostile... Changable... and Fragile.
