Eleven Hours

Eleven hours you waited To get you some meds Now you are dying In this hospital bed You squeezed my finger tight You twist and turn your head You moaned in pain Just before you were dead Your lungs start to struggle You couldn’t fight anymore Your little heart stopped I collapsed to the floor They brought you back Said you weren’t dead Your heart restarted But oh, your cold little head We said our goodbyes We gave you our love Were you there watching From way up above It didn’t have to happen My heart went with you It could have been changed I am broken in two
