election day blues
annoying voting machine
candidates unknown

unfamiliar names
did not do due diligence
angry at myself

voted for some names
did not know their competence
feel bad about this

resolve to learn more
candidate information
be better informed

L Milton Hankins September 28, 2022 at 12:40 PM I know what you mean, Rico, although I do not get a ballot mailed to me. I never have. I always go to the polling place to vote in person. But, you are right that we never get the "relevant" information before election day. I sometimes think they don't want us to have it.

Gershon Wolf September 27, 2022 at 7:22 PM I don't know about your state, but it's very hard to get reliable information in Illinois about all the judge positions that are up for election every year -- And they are the men and women who make and break lives in every sense of the word. Our national candidates have already bought their victories long before election day...and that includes Mitch McConnell!

And, some people can feign honesty and integrity well when they are campaigning but sometimes they don't come through when they're elected. That's one of my pet peeves. I think they should have to show their record before they are allowed to file for reelection!
