Elated Dove
I’m on my way back to my home,
And I have just got to believe,
In His Mercy for seeds I’ve sown ,
Need to give what I receive,
In Truth I can’t go back alone.
When a wayfaring white dove flutters too far,
And knows not where she is bound,
The sweet searching call of it’s soul mate,
Is a most welcome sound.
Working it’s weary wings with feathers soiled,
Through tempests over seas tossed and roiled,
The little dove joyfully changes direction,
Never minding the distance she’ll travel,
Simply happy for the correction.
Her knotted fears unravel.
And with new hope in energy and spirit,
Cries out to others with glee..
Come! I’ve found our flock!
Come! Quickly! Follow me!
Yes, I’m on my way back home,
Pray, dare I go there .. alone?
