Ego - a Major World Problem
Ego ruling mind, we want to reach great heights
About emotions, values we don't care at all
While trying to be the greatest, our actions are not right
To prove they are greatest, countries with others fight
Not a thought about those who die and fall
Ego ruling mind, we want to reach great heights
Poor dying of hunger, rich watch their plight
Hoarding for self, human selfishness does appall
While trying to be the greatest, our actions are not right
Boasting, arguing, criticizing one another we smite
Without thought of self-image, in public we brawl
Ego ruling mind, we want to reach great heights
Killing all life forms, destroying nature, we show our might
Tampering with life cycle, not a thought about our downfall
While trying to be the greatest, our actions are not right
Doing what is right, egoless we should delight
Loving all, helping all, our doom we should forestall
Ego ruling mind, we want to reach great heights
While trying to be the greatest, our actions are not right
