Thanks Maureen. I was wondering about “hers” vs “hens.” These “men” in charge here have an underlying hatred for women and reproductive freedom. I apologize for being so eggocentric. Your poem is brilliant!!

Maureen, apparently we're no importing eggs from Turkey to ease the shortage. We don't vaccinate hens in the US like they do over there. What is the chance we'll start vaccinations now? It costs less over the long term, but that's beyond the mental reasoning power of the king.

I’ve gone plant based a few months now and thought I’d never get over my egg habit, but I’ve fallen in love with scrambled tofu. The other side of this poem of course is women’s rights, that can of worms.
