Ecstasy of the Moment
On the pathways to glory, down the sunlit courses of time,
In the fieriness of my passions, and loves of a lifetime,
In the thrill of the moment, and the spirit of holy fervor,
In blooming tender youth, or sunset years wisdom answered.
In the hour of diamond tears, or in rapt ecstasy of relief,
In the magic of midnight, and eternity though life is brief.
In emerald gardens of beauty, with a buoyant sense of hope,
Or in still hours to paradise, when spirit goes up in smoke!
