Echo's of Time

Echo of Time A box of memories Tattered and worn Tarnished baby shoes Years after their born Holiday decoration We cannot repair A teddy bear torn Won at an old state fair Birthday pictures in black and white Lines on the doorway measured their height One cardboard box tells a lifetime of living Closing my eyes I can see their sparkle in the night I can smell the sea air; taste its salty brew Laughter of siblings a sand castle or two Will always be the echo calling up old times Just like this old box full of tales and rhyme Calling me through An echo of time Carole Cookie Arnold
