Echoes of the Moon

Echoes of the Moon

In the quiet of night, we danced, you and me,
My Moon, lighting up my dark sky so free.
Your laugh was a light, pulling me close and deep,
Soul sure and strong, in joy that we keep.
Miracle days with coffee's soft steam,
Eyes like wild streams, living the dream.

But life's funny trick, one morning you're my light,
The next, sounds fade, and it all turns to night.
Why this quick change, this love that just slips?
Like a trickster's game, with a snap of the lips.
We smile through the hurt as our hearts feel the weight,
The big joke from stars, sealing our fate.

I knew you right down to the core of your being,
Your worries and warmth, the secrets we're seeing.
Breakup cuts sharp, like a thorn in the skin,
A promise now broken, where do we begin?
We held a whole world, then walked on alone,
Clutching the pieces of what we once owned.

But look at the gift in this hard, broken place:
It shapes us and builds us, with time and with grace.
Growth comes from cracks, like a flower from stone,
We learn what to hold, and what to let go.

So breathe in the empty where echoes once stayed,
Sow seeds in the quiet, let new paths be made.
Find stars in the rain, your strength in the fight,
Cherish our story, then step into light.
Get up, grin at the mess, watch fresh sparks ignite,

Love comes around, it never stays out of sight.
