Echoes of the Heart

I thank this death
For without it
I would not know your love
Fated you and I from birth
You saved me from every pit
An angel from above.

I thank this death
You, my friend more than a friend
I wished I treated you more right
I regret not this last breath
A joyful free end
'Please, hold me tight'

I thank this death
You have been my victories
All this while thought were mine
You have been my strength
A better than other stories
Happy my life with yours twine

I thank this death
I wished I could stay
This moment with you is everlasting
I would go with you any length
At every passing of each day
In me your thought long lasting.

I thank this death
For saying 'Thank you'
To you…
