Echoes of Fall

The wind softly whispers,
   Summers sweet end.
Crisp and clear,
   Fall air decends.

A blanket of color,
   Covers the way.
Harvest season again,
   Shorter are the days.

Life goes so quickly,
   It's out of our grasp.
Celebration of time,
   A tear for the past.

Sun setting low,
   We can no longer pretend.
Distant echoes of fall,
   Soon winter will begin.

Beautiful, and true enough, but let's not rush things! : ) I plan on enjoying every moment of this beautiful season. Though, I must admit I do love winter too. Love, Shar
