Old times slip away
A year in a day


Through happy and sad
Highlights peace most glad


Fond memories stay
A good cache of strays


Weary hours take flight
Fade away from sight


Here on rough terrain
Cast out the old pains


Set our common view
On new year's fond cue


The old year's last light
Greets new year's insight


New light from old dark
Darkness lights a spark


Morning glow and mist
Hurls new year's promise.


Echoes of old hint
Bright visions now mint


Songs from old times now
Renewed here somehow


Joy spreads sanguine cheer
Love lives now and here


The passage of time
Brings message that chimes


The moment awaits
Grand fate at love's gate


Echoes from within
Grace the world unseen


A stillness spurs cheer
Beauty greets truth here
