Eating Humble Pie
Life experience can only be gained,
When one owns their mistakes,
When one owns their successes,
When one owns their failures,
When one owns their responsibilities,
When one owns their limits,
When one owns their right to eat humble pie.
Own these things and you will find a rich vein of life,
That surpasses earlier expectations of what one needs to own,
To give one a sense of self worth,
That enables one to look back with few regrets and less guilt,
Over a life that always had room for improvement.
