Eat Your Pain

Come, let me eat your pain
Point my mind into the vein

Storm across the bleak hot sands
Crush your scars in my bare hand

Trap your nightmares in my breast
Lay my shield against your chest

Hold my breath for whispered cries
Draw your sorrow through my eyes

Feel the gravity of grief in you
Burn it out through my sinews

Press the tears against my chin
Stroke the tension from your skin

Pant the anger from your lungs
Wake your peace with rhythmic tongue

Climb your mind up to the light
Beckon to euphoric flight

These are Couplets and they read quite well :) Beautifully worded, and quite sensual the same time. Welcome to PoetrySoup.

Cool! Thanks for the feedback. This one just came out as couplets. I might experiment with more interesting structures soon.
