Easter Morn

My heart is broken,
my heart is torn,
Here on this day,
of Easter Morn.

Our families gather,
for Easter fun.
Out in the grass,and
out in the sun.

We spend the day,
in laughter and joy.
Through the day,we
do deploy.

If, only I had a family
again.
A new tradition,we
could begin.

They have all gone
a stray.
Later in life,I think
they will pay.

The battle of life,
they have lost.
They'll leave it behind
at all cost.

Abetter life,they will
never know.
Because they chose
to work and let it go.

I guess it all,isn't so
bad.
You can't lose something
you never had.

My grandson is quite
the little lad.
He always accepts,the
good with the bad.
Someday, he will grow up,
and be,quite a dad.

Even though my family
is gone.
I will always love them,
from dusk till dawn.
