Earthquake
After the earthquake
My daughter is trapped,
Maybe she could be free if I clapped.
I see her hands,
But I don’t hear her demands.
I cry out in pain,
I run to the place which was once our domain.
Her one eye is gone,
She is the only one, all night long.
I reach her, her chest barely moving,
I don’t realise we are dying.
I pick her up, suddenly her heart stops and so does mine,
Then we both fall down and die……
