Earthly Peace
When I was just a boy
you said peace will come
and reign a long time
how many more
must die before
we pretend no more
Yes, we do
pretend that
all's well
in the garden
but peace on earth
seems far away
further than ever
Every mother cries
like no man can cry
for peace on earth
Now I am getting old
I know as wisdom tells me
that peace on earth will come
when peace on earth will come
and peace on earth will come
when peace on earth will be.
