Earth Still Spins, Tho' a Life Has Gone

Earth Still Spins, Tho' A Life Has Gone

Earth still spins, tho' a life has gone
with its course beneath Heaven's skies.
Sad the passing, but life moves on
births amassing, tho' one oft cries.

Souls that remain, dance as before
singing new tunes, as day is bright.
little to gain, through closed door
Heaven's design, its powerful might.

In our living, we laugh and weep
work with joy, earn our daily bread.
if true giving, peaceful sleep
as down we lay our weary head.

Years onward fly, we see the end
with great fear we may be afraid.
With faithful eyes, we see our friend
his father's word, all life was made.

Rejoice in blessings, once given
they are granted as true treasures.
Rewarded is he true livin'
for the bounty of life's pleasures.

Earth still spins, tho' a life has gone
with its course beneath Heaven's skies.
Sad the passing, but life moves on
births amassing, tho' one oft cries.

Hi Robert,Love the content of this poetic gem. The world still spins, life lives its cycle. We are but here for a while, wanting to leave our mark on the world. I more want to leave a mark on the heart. Never change the way you write poetry my friend. You keep the grace of true poetry alive. Have a wonderful Sunday. Your friend always....Mike.

We are born, we live, learn, share, and die; hopefully, leaving some legacy to this world. Each of us matters, despite the fact that some choose a darker path. Still those of the light are challenged by the those of the dark and we grow higher in the light from our experience. Life is an adventure; sometimes painful but, each life brings something new to this realm. We all, as spirits, rejoice in this.
