Earrings
Blue gems dangle
From sterling silver stems
Gently nestled in the box next to the matching bangle
He kissed his gift to her with wishes and whims
She ripped open the wrapping on Christmas day
And has wore the jewelry ever since, come what may
Black parades have passed her by
Tears have fallen from their eyes and the sky
Struggled or snuggled close at arms length slightly
She hugs him tightly
He is lost in her embrace
And reciporcates, He loves her with God's Grace
White gown sealed in a freshlock bag
Gold band on her hand, somethings do not sag
Wrinkling with time
Their love is still unblemished, a perfect rhyme
Fingers entwined they walk into the light of eternity
And living with peircing serenity
