Each a Portrait

Each a Portrait*

——————————————-We are multiple
   billions now…
But, more…
We are all, and each
A face, a portrait, a
Hand trying to extend
From the very being…
Waiting
   nearby, being, each      
   of us,
A one among 
   the billions.
Yet, still, too often
Unaware
Of the connections
Poised, pausing
There in the all-
   Encircling.
