Dying On

So gone but too alive
Ignorant to their own minds
Spiteful without response
The inner eye is at a loss

Once more to follow on
Once more to play their song
Once more the pain is gone
Denied and singing on

Emptiness the world over
Spreading on within its cover
Spirits are just fading under
The smiling soldiers are humming thunder

A lost soul that joins its cause
Be alone or shut the doors
Be afraid or hide your face
Be denied or run this race

Emptiness the world over
No one cares about another
The cynical still grow in number
As comfort grows we forget our brothers

Emptiness the world over
Dying on without true lovers
Nothing left but wisdoms other
The ignorance that burns the mother
