Dying Hurts

Swallowing pills to end your life,
You are a mother, a daughter, a wife.
The pain and turmoil you've buried inside,
Must be intense to have chosen this ride.
If you could see the love and care,
Your children have, they need you there.
To kiss and hug their pain away,
To comfort them, and be ok.
I hope some day you'll see I'm right,
Push through the fog and see the light.

Hi Jamie, this is a great expressed poem. I've never been down this road, but I have a cousin who took pills to end it all... Sad poem, positive ending... Linda

Everyone needs to be loved and shown affection, I don't think my troubles would disappear, but they would definitely be a less overwhelming anyways. <3 J-Me

This poem is written about a friend of mine currently going through a similar situation. My feelings are troubled however, because she isn't thinking about how her choices today, will forever affect her growing children. sigh, thank you for your kind words, sincerely J-Me
