Dutch Girl

Dutch Girl By Rick Rucker Was the Sky always this Blue? Or just since I met You? And the Grass, is it the standard Green? Have I always felt this Serene? The reason that I don’t know: I can’t remember that long ago! You have cleared my memory slate, Not a memory, ‘fore our first Date! I have the general feeling, That you sent my mind a-reeling, Don’t remember why I Cried, Now that You are by my side! As a Project this was fast, Built with Love, it will last, Past the lives of both of Us, Our friends will, the Reason, suss, Where we were two, when we had begun, Rapidly, we are becoming One! You are the Master Builder, The Project worth ten million Guilder! You have me in a whirl, Hopelessly in Love with a Dutch Girl!
