Dust From the Past
Memories settle like dust
The faded dreams and broken trust
Just a remnant, of the past
I'm finally free, at last!
Yesterday's hellos, often, end in goodbye
For that is the cost, of being alive
People shall come and they, also, shall go
Faded into memories, of a time long ago
I've embraced each moment, both the good and the bad
I'm thankful for each experience, that, my life has had
The dust from my past; I've now cleared it away
I look toward the future and let go of yesterday
