Dust

My presence had rested beside you At first it invoked an image before us that we lived by, but you discarded it... I agreed, we indulge nothing beyond who we were We now turn all colours to black When my eyes close they do insanely seem to imagine nothing Astride of this inconsolate gait an unseemly innocence swerves Youthful wishes deny all pain and guide beaten chests But inside with you I lived With you, a crave once returned magic With each page I turn a stern event ensues Futures lost rely on committed presents, but then everything died And these events have unravelled... This future competes with a distant past Each stride along this stream encounters dust
