Dusk Longs To Stay But To No Avail
C-old chill and long night
H-ave turned into warm day;
E-vening clouds disappear,
R-ain has just gone away.
Y-our birth brings much mirth, promising pure delight;
L-onely twilight is fading, as the new dawn is shining bright.
A-pril thirteenth morn is fine,
U-nder the wide sky above;
R-ays of the sun reflect,
E-xpressing God's great love.
S-hadows have passed by
T-o let the light prevail;
I-n the dark the dusk drifts,
L-onging to stay, but to no
A-vail.
