Dumb Resolve

Before the end,
beginning brings rituals of amnesty.
I start my day in the glitch
of a pulsar, by undulating light
of the embattled moon.
Night starts a shout.

I wear my anxieties on obstinate
note of your mercy; give me only
the faults with smiles. I will translate my griefs
into striped hits of a weeping dawn.
This was my page, my book of ancestory
from the scratched face of an icon.

I move on the road, port of call
was far away. Shade was a temptation,
I don’t cast a glance.
