Dui

The car
The party
All runs through my head
The stupid decision to drive
Instead of asking a friend
The tears keep coming
Although I wish to stop
The stupid decision
To drive and not walk.

The road where you wrecked
Was close at heart
Sitting there we wished on stars
Laughed out loud in the dark.
All the memories we shared
Could never compare to
The loved one we lost there.

Shattered glass lay on the side of the road
Where you wrecked that horrible day
Now a beautiful cross gives way
Memories we lost Memories we shared
Give way to you in Heaven somewhere.

Sad. My son was lucky, but the DUI cost him his job, his house, his car, his truck, his wife (divorce). Everything he ever owned and he still does it. God Bless. Vince

Very sad, but written so beautifully..you poured out your soul expressing the pain and hurt over losing a loved one. I feel your emotions so strongly here, it's devastating to lose a loved one, in any way. I pray that you and yours will find some peace one day soon. Stay Strong, pray and lean on the Lord..He will give you strength and that peace that surpasses anything..God Bless *Tyesha
