Dry Seas

Life is never what it seems,
It moves up and down.
Crashing and churning,
like the waves of the ocean.

When I thought it was good,
and when nothing could get better.
The sea dried up,
and I fell.

Its not fair I screamed.
When everyone else was,
I was not,
In a different universe.

I felt lost,
not knowing,
where that north star was,
to help me get back home.

But by the time I got up,
another notch was carved.
Into my heart,
was another scar.

Felt dry.
Felt unknowing.
Felt wronged.
Felt sick.

For another day will come,
another heart break waiting to happen.
Will I keep searching for it?
or will it find me?
