Drunken Moon Haiku -Not For Contest

Drunken Moon Haiku

smokeless tobacco
seeking light from another
mooching off the sun

loitering in dusk’s
drunken aura of darkness
last call at sunrise

a lone wolf’s farewell
song of life’s broken spirit
hobos serenade

round moon – square window
cold framing whiskey’s wisdom
red cheeked aftermath

Excellent, John - Some fantastic lines! With a little bit of application these four Haikus could make one hell of a beautiful poem. My very best regards! :) john

gosh, these are so COOL, John. Why don't you want to enter the contest? If she is asking for just one, I hope you will pick one and submit it separately. My favorites are the second and fourth!
